As I gather my gear for the family camp trip, I find myself researching new things I can try for cooking. The cobbler, biscuits, bacon and so forth is a no brainer, but since this trip is headed to one of my favorite trout fishing destinations—Kern River— I’ve decided to look into some different ways of preparing my catch…. I know that’s assuming a lot!
In the past, I’ve just taken the caught trout, cleaned them, added a little salt, pepper, olive oil, and some lemon wedges then wrapped them in aluminum foil and cooked them over the coals. This time, however, I wanted to try something a little different.
While perusing the internet, I ran across this cool video for smoking and deboning trout… I’m definitely trying this out.
Hope you enjoy it!
